Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I just want to wish people a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Christmas used to be exciting for me and now as I am older, it's just another holiday to get together with the family. However, Christmas is my favorite holiday because I have a family tradition with this holiday than any other holiday so that's why it's special. And there's nothing wrong with wanting and enjoying getting gifts (cash). It's in human nature. But I don't really care what I get, it's the thought that counts. If you get something for someone that they know they'll like then it's worth the price. My dad is easy to get gifts for because he likes the Beatles and Andrea Bocceli and other things. My mom was easy too because she expects a calender from me each year. Then there's my siblings. We kids never know what we truly want. There is so many things to get and it's like "Uh...I don't know". There's so many things to do in this world and today it's like "Uh, I'm so bored". And during Christmas time it's like Santa, I want this, I want that. I want I want I want....and yet the kids wound up playing with their new toy five times and that's it.

It's a shame that the media has forgotten the true meaning of Christmas: The celebration of Jesus' birth. I remember one year people complained about Jesus in the manor set in one of the stores in the mall a few years ago. THAT IS WHAT CHRISTMAS IS ALL ABOUT!!! They had to remove it. Such a shame. I believe they should decorate everything with all three holidays and have an important symbol for each one. I can't believe they have commercials of "Oh, get them what they really want". IT'S NOT ABOUT THE GIFTS!!!! IT'S THE THOUGHT THAT COUNTS. IT'S ABOUT BEING WITH THE FAMILY CELEBRATING JESUS' BIRTH. THE GIFT THAT GOD HAS GIVEN US, WHOM SACRIFICE HIS LIFE FOR US. THE GIFT THAT ALLOWED US TO LIVE OUR LIVES TO BE THE BEST WE COULD BE. TO LOVE OUR FRIENDS, FAMILY, AND NEIGHBORS. And now we are being brainwashed by being taught that Christmas is ONLY ABOUT Santa Claus giving gifts to the children. WITHOUT JESUS CHRIST THERE WOULDN'T BE CHRISTMAS. I'm not saying Santa giving gifts is a bad thing. I think it's wonderful to give out gifts, it makes you feel good about yourself, especially if it's something special that you know they'll like, especially if you made it yourself. It's wonderful to give to those who don't have much and for those who don't ask for the most. Every child deserves a gift but each child should realize what other children don't have and should appreciate what they have. A lot of kids are spoiled today. I know I am spoiled but I try no to be.

Blah Blah Blah.....

Merry Christmas!

I was on here looking at artworks and I found on two profiles of these people passing away.

The first one I found out was about Roy Disney jr, the nephew of Walt Disney and son of Roy Disney, who passed away December 16, 2009 at the age of 79. I was reading this article online about this man's life. He was actually an impact on the Disney company. In the article they have a quote of him saying that Walt Disney used to tell him stories like Pinocchio and when that movie came out he was disappointed because Walt's version didn't compare with the movie. Animators at the company would also ask him questions when he was boy to see if the animation was funny or whatnot. In the 1990s, he was head of the animation department and you know in the 1990s the Disney company had great movies like the Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and Tarzan. Roy Disney Jr is even in Fantasia 2000 (1999).

Fantasia 2000 is the best sequel to any other sequel the company came out with. You can tell that he was really a part of that because he cared about the company and then he worried that the company was going downhill saying that they were losing their quality.Fantasia 2000 had fantastic animation in different styles. I remember this one scene that was about "Noah's Arc" which surprises me that Disney would do a religious scene. In this short animation you have all the animals enter the ship and you see Noah but only his body, not his face. However, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck are in this short and you just have to see it. The funny part I like in there is when Donald Duck looked at a regular sized duck and he looked into the camera like he was confused lol...But what I also like is that they put the famous animation in there, when Mickey Mouse was working for that wizard guy and to make his job easier he used his magic to make the broomsticks come to life, you know what I'm talking about? Mickey Mouse with the wizard hat? Yeah, it was from the original Fantasia from like 1940 and they put it in this one, too.

Hopefully now the animation department is heading in the right direction. I haven't seen Princess and the Frog but hopefully I can today. (If we don't have a snow storm today). I read online that Roy Disney Jr was trying to replace the leader of the company at one time to a different person because the company's quality was going downhill and that people going to the Disney parks were declining. But they just said he was an old man and fired him. Smart idea, fire the guy who grew up with the company, the nephew and son of the Disney brothers, and helped bring out successful movies like the Lion King. Stupid. But no worries, a year later he was back into the company (2005). He was able to convince them of basically what needs to be done.

Now, Brittany Murphy sadly passed away yesterday at the age of 32. I know she was the voice of Gloria from "Happy Feet" and I just found out today that she was the voice of Luanne from "King of the Hill". One of the artists I watch on here did a digital painting of Luanne and stated in his description that Brittany Murphy sadly passed away. I read in an article that she was fired from like her last movie set called "The Caller" from having inappropriate behavior so who knows what happened.

I am totally freaking out about my three only finals....which is artwork so no studying. On the good side, it's almost over. Yesterday, I just found out I got accepted to School of Visual Arts in NYC so I'll be living at home and I begin classes January 11, like the Art Institute of Philly. However, the amount of credits I received for the 5 quarters of credits they received from me, they only gave me 27 credits. >.< . I get 15 credits per quarter, 3 credits per class. So, they only accepted like 9 classes out of 25 classes I took here. So basically I'm a freshman and if I stood at AiPh, I'd start my Junior year.....

OH WELL, I'm just like my father. Doesn't know how to make the right decisions, always changing my mind. I'm gonna be like one of those people who would stay at college over 4 years.

I could take summer classes but not the summer coming up. I'm gonna take that summer off and finally be free. (But I'll be in bowling leagues again and go to art classes because that's what I used to do when I had school off in the summer. I just like being in a art class with a friend of course and make new friends and just draw/paint.) So much for going to a college to get out in 3 years and now I'm gonna be in college for like 5 years. It's like I'm starting over all over again. If I change my mind I could go back to Philly and finish. If I have no choice.

If I sound like I;m complaining, I'm really not. I want to start fresh anyway at the other college so I could get the opportunity to take as much courses they offer as possible. If I retake some courses I'll benefit from it. However, they are asking for this quarter's transcript too of course so I don't know what they'll accept. I looked at the classes available for me in January for that college and basically half of those classes I'm taking now. One of them is called "Storyboarding and Animatics' and it actually gives you a full description, the instructors name and info on the instructor of where he/she graduate and if any, what awards they have won. It even tells you what films we are supposed to watch, materials to bring, everything. I was like omg. I was crazy for turning this school down the first time I got accepted.

Then, I was like should I go. Or keep looking for other colleges and take off. My dad was like just go to SVA and see how I like it. I could leave after the first semester if I don't like it, so why not.

So I know my friends at home will be happy to hear about this, I'll be home FRIDAY. THIS FRIDAY. OKAY! NO, I CAN'T TALK ONLINE THIS WEEK. FINALS WEEK IS A PAIN. MIRIAM, YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT. EVEN ONLY THING YOU GOT TO DO IS STUDY OR WRITE PAPERS, ART IS NOT EASY. IM IN AN ART SCHOOL. Thank you..

Happy Holidays

Hello to the three people who actually read my journals. Just two more weeks of school and I am calm. I don't freak out like I used to for some reason. Anyway, I'm alright. I apologize for the pervious journal entry for making you guys really concern about me. I'm kind of glad I wrote it anyway because after that I feel relieved even though I didn't say it verbally.

Well right now its 6:05 am. I have class at 8:00 am. Right now I'm watching Hey Arnold! The Movie. Hey Arnold has got to be one of the best animated television show I've ever saw. Recently I've been seeing a couple of episodes. The characters each have a different personality and their lifestyle can be related to ours. Like Arnold lives with his grandparents because his parents are gone. In the series they mention that his parents are like explorers and so Arnold was born during their expeditions. Then they came back to Arnold's neighborhood to live their lives there until they had to leave again for another journey, leaving Arnold behind with his grandparents and they never came back. That's really sad. Then his friends are not perfect, they would argue do the right thing sometimes do the bad thing sometimes you know. But I gotta tell you that Helga has got to be one of the best cartoon characters ever created plus the voice actress for that character is a genius. I find it really funny how obsessive she is over Arnold. "Arnold what an annoying little snub, how I despise him! And yet.." *Hides behind a trash can in an alley and takes out her heart shaped picture of Arnold* "..how I love him. How he always looks on the bright side of things. And how he wears his little hat on his big football head of his" *sighs*
